Waterfall Project Management
This is a traditional approach to project management, in which every step of the project, from beginning to end, is delimited and consecutive. Here, each step can happen only if the previous one was completed.
It's very lineal, and thus, it doesn’t allow much flexibility, because a previous step in the processes can not be executed again differently. This is a big limitation to improve workflows, but can be a good option if the project is not too complex.
